Vector Selects Construction Team, Begins First Orbital Vehicle Production

TUCSON, Ariz., Dec. 6, 2017 (Vector PR) — Vector, a nanosatellite launch company comprised of new-space and enterprise software industry veterans from SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, Sea Launch and VMware, today announced it has selected a final construction team to build its state-of-the-art launch vehicle manufacturing facility in Tucson, Ariz. Vector selected Holladay Properties as the lead developer on the project, Barker Contracting as the contractor, and architects from Swaim Associates LTD to carry out Vector’s vision for the new factory.

Vector Plans 3 Orbital Launches From Wallops Island

RICHMOND, Va. (Terry McAuliffe PR) – Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Vector, a nanosatellite launch company comprised of new-space and enterprise software industry veterans from SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, Sea Launch and VMware, has entered into an agreement with Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority (Virginia Space) to conduct three commercial orbital missions out of Virginia Space’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) in the next 24 months with an option for five additional launches.

Vector Space to Conduct Test Launch in Georgia

Vector Space Systems is planning a test launch from the possible site of a future spaceport on the Georgia coast. The Federal Aviation Administration has approved a permit for Vector Space Systems to conduct a low-altitude launch on Thursday of a full-scale prototype of the company’s Vector-R launch vehicle. Vector Raises $21 Million Series A Funding Round

TUCSON, Ariz., June 29, 2017 (Vector PR)– Vector, the micro satellite launch company that’s decreasing barriers to entry and increasing speed to orbit, today announced $21M Series A funding led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Shasta Ventures and Lightspeed. This round brings Vector’s total funding to $31M and follows a landmark first half of 2017 for the company.

Vector Declares Rocket Launch Successful

CANTIL, Calif. (Vector PR) — Vector, a micro satellite space launch company comprised of new-space and enterprise software industry veterans from SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, McDonnell Douglas, Sea Launch and VMware, today announced the successful test launch of the P-19H engineering model of the Vector-R launch vehicle.

This flight test is the first of several upcoming launches which will enable Vector to evaluate critical technologies and functions of the operational family of Vector launch vehicles.

Vector & Citrix to Bring Virtualization Software Technology to Micro Satellites

TUCSON, Ariz., May 1, 2017 (Vector Space Systems PR) — Vector, a micro satellite space launch company comprised of new-space and enterprise software industry veterans from SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, McDonnell Douglas, Sea Launch and VMware, today announced that it will join forces with Citrix to bring advanced datacenter and cloud virtualization technology into space for the first time through the development of a software defined satellite platform with Vector’s GalacticSky solution.  Citrix and Vector will work together to enhance Citrix XenServer for space use and validate Vector’s GalacticOS, a purpose built satellite app operating system that enables entrepreneurs to easily develop space based applications.
