DENVER (Ursa Major PR) — Ursa Major, America’s only privately funded company that focuses solely on rocket propulsion, delivered its first copper-based 3D-printed rocket engine combustion chambers out of its additive manufacturing (3D-printing) lab in Youngstown, Ohio, compressing the production and delivery cycle to one month, compared to a minimum of six months using traditional manufacturing processes. These advanced copper alloy-based engine components will be tested for space launch and hypersonic applications.

TUCSON, Ariz. and DENVER, May 4, 2022 (Phantom Space PR) — Phantom Space Corporation, a space applications company, today announced an agreement to purchase more than 200 rocket engines from Ursa Major, America’s only independent pure-play rocket propulsion company. The order includes Ursa Major’s 5,000-Pound Thrust Hadley engines and the new 50,000-pound thrust Ripley engines. By using Ursa Major’s Hadley engines, Phantom’s Daytona rocket is slated for orbital launch in 2023, just three years after Phantom Space was formed.

DENVER, March 23, 2022 (Ursa Major PR) — Ursa Major, America’s only independent pure-play rocket propulsion company today announced the delivery of “Hadley” engines to two different customers for very different applications—hypersonics and space launch. Hadley is an American-made oxygen-rich staged combustion engine, the type of system preferred by the world’s most advanced space programs. The engine is now in full production, with 30 expected to be delivered this year.
