23 Selected to Fly on Lynx Through Axe Apollo Space Academy


This photo was posted earlier today of the winners of the Axe Apollo Space Academy competition in Florida. There appear to be 21 men and 2 women selected for suborbital flights aboard XCOR’s Lynx space plane. They appear here with Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

The competition was run by Unilever in conjunction with Space Expedition Corporation. There’s no press release out yet that I could find, but I will post something when it is published.

Japanese Screen Star Koichi Iwaki to Fly on XCOR’s Lynx

TOKYO, JAPAN, April 18, 2013 (XCOR PR) — Earlier today in Tokyo, XCOR Aerospace General Sales Agent (GSA) Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) CEO Michiel Mol announced the latest Lynx Mark I flight participant as noted Japanese film actor Koichi Iwaki.

Mr Iwaki is a spokesman for the US watch company Luminox, an SXC affiliated partner. Mr Iwaki has starred in over fifty films and TV series since 1975. He is also an avid race car driver and motorcyclist.

SXC Aims for Make the First Stock Trade in Space

Space Expedition Corporation and former Goldman Sachs trader Anton Kreil, have just announced they will be attempting to set a new World Record by executing the “First Trade in Space” aboard the XCOR Lynx MK II shuttle in 2014.

Dutch Space Tourism company, Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) and world renowned financial markets trader Anton Kreil are about to make a giant financial leap and go one step beyond. In an interview with the London based publication Square Mile magazine, Kreil has announced that he will be attempting to become the first person in history to make a financial markets transaction in Space, when he hops aboard the XCOR Lynx MKII shuttle with SXC in 2014.


XCOR Announces Space Expedition Corporation as New General Sales Agent From Mojave

June 7th, 2012, Mojave CA, USA and New York City, NY (XCOR/SXC PR):
   With the Tom Sachs space-themed art exhibit, “Space Program: Mars“ as a backdrop, XCOR Aerospace named Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) as the new General Sales Agent (GSA) for the XCOR owned Lynx Suborbital vehicle flying from the Mojave Air and Spaceport.

SXC was previously announced as the first wet lease customer for a Lynx production vehicle with planned flights from Curacao.  The GSA places the responsibility with SXC for ticket sales through the extensive network of XCOR Space Tourism Specialists and for astronaut training and relations for XCOR Lynx flights from Mojave. Currently, the combined sales of Lynx fights between XCOR and SXC are over 175 flights, with a published retail price of $95,000.
