Panel Urges Government, Industry Action to Improve Battered Space Supply Chain

LONG BEACH, Calif. — The question of how to strengthen the U.S. space industry’s weakened supply chain, which has been battered over the past two years by the global COVID-19 pandemic, was the subject of a panel discussion at the Space Tech Expo last week. The answers boiled down to the Pentagon adopting an agile approach to developing and acquiring technology, and reversing a decades-old trend by industry of outsourcing manufacturing abroad.

RBC Signals and Inmarsat Announce Strategic Agreement on Global IoT Connectivity

RBC Signals will use the Inmarsat global mobile satellite network to drive IoT and other data and communications services and solutions for customers.

LONDON (Inmarsat PR) — RBC Signals, global provider of satellite data communication products and solutions, today announced a strategic agreement with Inmarsat, the world leader in global mobile satellite communications. The agreement will see RBC Signals use Inmarsat’s global network to connect its range of applications and solutions for enterprise customers.

The global multi-year leasing agreement pairs Inmarsat’s worldwide ELERA and Global Xpress satellite networks with RBC Signals’ range of new and existing data and Internet of Things (IoT) applications for use across multiple verticals, including oil and gas, maritime, agriculture and utilities. RBC Signals will incorporate these latest evolutions of Inmarsat’s L-band and Ka-band networks into its applications and solutions, enabling new levels of flexibility and service customisation.

Mentored curriculum serves massively scalable, early-stage science and technology companies

Creative Destruction Lab selects companies from around the world, via a stringent vetting process, for participation in its objectives-based program. RBC Signals will complete the program as part of the CDL Space stream at CDL-Toronto.

GomSpace, RBC Signals Sign MoU to Strengthen Ground Segment Collaboration

UPPSALA, Sweden (GomSpace PR) — RBC Signals, the multi-national provider of flexible and cost-effective space communication services, and GomSpace, the manufacturer of nanosatellite solutions and operations services, today announced an MoU. The technology agreement will ensure that their companies’ respective solutions are fully integrated.

The MoU includes:
