SpaceX Launches 40 Satellites into Space

CAPE CANAVERAL SPACE FORCE STATION, Fla., April 1, 2022 — A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched 40 payloads as part of the company’s Transporter-4 dedicated smallsat rideshare mission.

The rocket launched into a sun-synchronous orbit at 12:24 p.m. EDT. The mission manifest included the first satellite orbited by Pixxel of India, Kleos Space’s Patrol Mission, and 12 Spacebee communications satellites. A list of payloads is below.

HawkEye 360 Awarded $15.5 Million Contract with Air Force Research Laboratory

Leading radio frequency data and analytics company partners with AFRL’s Space Vehicles Directorate to support integration of commercial space ISR into the warfighting architecture

HERNDON, Va. January 11, 2021 (HawkEye 360 PR) — HawkEye 360 Inc., the world’s leading commercial provider of space-based radio frequency (RF) data and analytics, today announced it has been awarded a three year, $15.5 million Experimental Purpose Agreement (EPA) contract with the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Space Vehicles Directorate. Through the agreement, HawkEye 360 will provide radio frequency analytics research, development, and experiments to help the government demonstrate, test and evaluate its hybrid space ISR architecture.

The $5 million investment from Leidos brings the total value of Series D funding to $150 million. HawkEye 360 Raises $145 Million in Series D Round to Expand Dominance of the Commercial Radio Frequency GEOINT Market

Herndon, Virginia, November 8, 2021 (HawkEye 360 PR) — HawkEye 360 Inc., the world’s leading commercial provider of space-based radio frequency (RF) data and analytics, today announced it has closed $145 million in new funding, priming the company to achieve transformational growth in its data and analytical services product line. This Series D round was led by New York-based global private equity and venture capital firm Insight Partners and Seraphim Space Investment Trust (LSE:SSIT), the world’s first listed space tech fund. Additional funding was provided by the Strategic Development Fund (SDF), the investment arm of UAE’s Tawazun Holding. And joining the round were new investors Jacobs, Gula Tech Adventures, 116 Street Ventures, and New North Ventures, as well as existing investors Advance, Razor’s Edge, NightDragon, SVB Capital, Shield Capital, Adage Capital, and others. This brings the total amount of capital raised to date to $302 million.

Cluster 3 expands capacity to meet growing demands for RF geospatial intelligence

HERNDON, Va., Oct. 12, 2021 (HawkEye 360 PR — The third cluster of satellites launched by HawkEye 360 Inc., the world’s first commercial company to pioneer radio frequency (RF) data and analytics from space-based satellites, has achieved initial operating capability and has begun to deliver RF data and insights to clients. The trio of satellites, known as Cluster 3, entered orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket June 30th and has moved into formation and completed functional testing.

SPRINGFIELD, Va. (NGA PR) – The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency will begin offering its analysts non-traditional data and services related to commercial radio frequency data to address a wide range of key intelligence topics.

The services are provided by HawkEye 360 through the Radio Frequency Emitter Data contract, which was awarded in July for a total of up to $10 million. The services will augment collection by national assets and provide NGA with a means to produce and deliver global datasets that utilize automated techniques to detect, characterize and geolocate emitters of radio frequency energy. This energy output is typically associated with communication and navigation equipment. The resulting datasets will support NGA’s research and analysis of national intelligence issues and address a wide range of key intelligence topics such as military, non-state and transnational criminal activity.
