NASA has removed four Time-Resolved Observations of Precipitation structure and storm Intensity with a Constellation of Smallsats (TROPICS) satellites from Astra Space’s launch manifest after the company destroyed the first two spacecraft in a launch failure in June.

WASHINGTON (NASA PR) — Researchers across the country produce innovative ideas that have great potential to help NASA in pursuit of its goals. To tap into these ideas, NASA invests in partnerships between research institutions and U.S. small businesses through the agency’s Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program. A new round of awards from the program will help 20 small businesses and their research institution partners continue developing technologies that have shown potential benefit to NASA’s future work in areas like intelligent sensor systems, surface construction, handling propellants needed to get us to the Moon and Mars, and more.

WASHINGTON (NASA PR) — NASA has selected GHGSat, Inc., of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to provide commercial small constellation satellite products for evaluation to determine the utility for advancing NASA’s science and application goals. GHGSat will provide a comprehensive catalogue of Earth Observation data High Resolution Gas Detection Commercial Earth Observation Data products.
This is a fixed-price blanket purchase agreement and each call issued is not to exceed $7 million over a five-year period. The work will be performed at the contractor’s facilities in Montreal, Quebec.

It is a senior body of high-level representatives from companies following a New Space approach in the execution of their business. The NAB has the objective to share lessons learned thus supporting ESA executives in the elaboration of an ESA commercialisation policy and the ESA transformation process to adapt to the New Space needs.

VIENNA, Va., September 28, 2022 — Spire Global, Inc. (NYSE: SPIR) (“Spire” or “the Company”), a leading global provider of space-based data, analytics and space services, announced that it was awarded a study contract by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) for commercial radio frequency (RF) remote sensing.
