VIENNA, Va. & CAMBRIDGE, Ontario (Spire Global PR) – Spire Global, Inc.. (NYSE: SPIR) (“Spire” or “the Company“), a leading provider of space-based data, analytics and space services, announced today it has successfully completed its previously announced acquisition of exactEarth Ltd. (TSX: XCT) (“exactEarth“), a leading provider of global maritime vessel data for ship tracking and maritime situational awareness solutions, by way of a plan of arrangement (the “Arrangement”), following the completion of all closing conditions. The Arrangement, which was announced on September 14, 2021, was approved by exactEarth’s shareholders at a special meeting held on November 18, 2021 and exactEarth obtained a final order from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) in respect of the Arrangement on November 22, 2021.

Sensor payload design for missile warning system tested for space survivability

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. Feb. 9, 2022 (Raytheon Intelligence & Space PR) – Raytheon Intelligence & Space has completed Thermal Vacuum Testing of its sensor payload for the U.S. Space Force’s Next-Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared, or Next-Gen OPIR GEO, Block 0 missile warning satellites designed and built by spacecraft prime contractor Lockheed Martin. Testing was completed on Jan. 27, 2022.

ESA Hosts New Office to Coordinate Global Climate Modelling Push

PARIS (ESA PR) — Climate models are an important tool for scientists to understand our past climate and provide projections of future change. As such, they are in increasing demand as part of efforts to avert global warming and reduce risks associated with environmental change. To meet this demand, the World Climate Research Programme will open a new international office in the United Kingdom on 1 March 2022 that will coordinate the programme’s Climate Model Intercomparison Project.

NASA Television to Cover Space Station Cargo Launch, Docking

SpaceX Loses 40 of 49 Starlink Satellites Launched Last Week Due to Geomagnetic Storm

HAWTHORNE, Calif. (SpaceX PR) — On Thursday, February 3 at 1:13 p.m. EST, Falcon 9 launched 49 Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Falcon 9’s second stage deployed the satellites into their intended orbit, with a perigee of approximately 210 kilometers above Earth, and each satellite achieved controlled flight.
