Sierra Space Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to Work Together on Commercial Space Station

LOUISVILLE, Colo., March 17, 2022 (Sierra Space PR) – Sierra Space, a leading commercial space company with 1,100 employees, more than 500 missions and over 30 years of space flight heritage, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), a leading company in the space development industry in Japan, announced today that the companies have jointly signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The MOU agreement outlines plans for Sierra Space and MHI to collaborate on a wide range of technologies regarding the development of Orbital Reef, a commercially developed, owned and operated space station to be built in low Earth orbit (LEO) by investors Sierra Space and Blue Origin.

Astra Reschedules Fourth Quarter and Year End 2021 Financial Results to March 31, 2022

ALAMEDA, Calif. (Astra Space PR) — Astra Space, Inc. (“Astra”) (Nasdaq: ASTR), today announced it has rescheduled the earnings announcement for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2021, from today after market close to Thursday, March 31, 2022, after market close to coincide with the filing of its Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2021 (the “Annual Report”). Astra will host the rescheduled conference call at 1:30pm PT (4:30pm ET) on Thursday, March 31, 2022, to discuss its financial results.

Astra currently expects fourth quarter and year ended 2021 financial results to meet or be more favorable than previously issued guidance. Additionally, cash and cash equivalents are expected to be approximately $325 million as of December 31, 2021.

SCOUT Successfully Completes Bridge Round, Led by Decisive Point

Synthetaic Secures $13M Series A Financing to RAIC the World

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. (NASA PR) — NASA’s mega-Moon rocket continues its four-mile journey to the launch pad after leaving the Vehicle Assembly Building after a planned stop to adjust the Crew Access Arm. Traveling at a top speed of .82 mph, the crawler-transporter with the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft atop the mobile launcher is on its way to Launch Complex 39B.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 16, 2022 (Boeing PR) — The U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC) and Boeing [NYSE: BA] recently completed a critical design review for the Protected Tactical SATCOM Prototype (PTS-P), validating Boeing’s technical maturity on the rapid-prototyping program.

“We’re making great progress on this pacesetter program,” said Lt. Col. Ryan Rose, SSC’s Tactical SATCOM Division deputy chief. “We’ve asked all industry partners to move fast — to build, iterate, demonstrate, and improve performance, so we can deploy much faster than we typically would. This design review demonstrates we’re on track to deliver new communication capabilities to the warfighter.”
