Breaking ground with her new book, “Space Marketing,” Izzy House — advertiser, marketer and now published author — took time to talk about her work, her book and upcoming publications.

“The relationship between the businesses and the audience is the primary thing. The tools they use may change through time… but it all boils down to establishing a healthy relationship with your audience,” House said.

As the industry reaches out to the public more, and there is less emphasis on working with NASA, for example, marketing in the space industry needs to change.

Virgin Orbit Plans First UK Launch for Late August

LONG BEACH, Calif. — With three successful launches under its belt, Virgin Orbit is planning two flights this summer to demonstrate its agile air-launched booster system, including the first-ever satellite launch from the United Kingdom, a company executive said this week.

Southern Launch Receives Further Support from the Federal Government

ADELAIDE, Australia (Southern Launch PR) — Australian spaceport and space mission provider, Southern Launch, has been awarded an Australian Space Agency Moon to Mars Grant for their mobile launch rail.

The almost $1 million grant will enable Southern Launch to design, construct, and commission a mobile launch rail that will be capable of launching sub-orbital vehicles ranging in mass from 20kg to 3,500kg. The mobility of the rocket launcher will allow Southern Launch to utilise the launch rail at both the Koonibba Test Range and the Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex.

HawkEye 360 Launches Next-Generation Cluster 5 Satellites

Cluster 5 expands company’s capacity to meet high demand for RF analytics

HERNDON, Va. ICEYE Successfully Completes its Largest Satellite Launch Ever, Placing Five New SAR Satellites into Orbit

The successful launch further expands the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation and includes the second and third satellites built, licensed and operated by ICEYE US.

HELSINKI, Finland and IRVINE, Calif. (ICEYE PR) — ICEYE, the global leader in persistent monitoring with radar satellite imaging and an expert in flood and natural catastrophe (NatCat) solutions, has successfully launched five new SAR satellites. All spacecraft were launched on SpaceX’s Falcon 9 smallsat rideshare mission via EXOLAUNCH from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Communication has successfully been established with each spacecraft. ICEYE and ICEYE US have now deployed 21 satellites since 2018, including both commercial and dedicated customer missions.

Varda Space Industries Orders Fourth Photon Spacecraft from Rocket Lab to Enable In-Space Manufacturing

WHITE SANDS, NEW MEXICO, May 25, 2022 (Boeing PR) — Boeing’s [NYSE: BA] CST-100 Starliner spacecraft landed at the U.S. Army’s White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico at 5:49 p.m. Central Time. The safe return to Earth brings a close to the successful end-to-end uncrewed orbital flight test that was flown to demonstrate the quality and performance of the transportation system prior to crewed flights.

BlueHalo Awarded $1.4B U.S. Space Force Contract to Enable Modernization of Satellite Operations

(BlueHalo PR) — BlueHalo has been awarded a $1.4B contract by the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO), a direct reporting unit of the U.S. Space Force.  The award is for the Satellite Communication Augmentation Resource (SCAR) program.
