Kleos Executes Agreement with US Navy for Maritime Domain Awareness Exercise

LUXEMBOURG (Kleos Space PR) — Kleos Space Inc. (US subsidiary of Kleos Space S.A), a space-powered Radio Frequency Reconnaissance Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) and Mission-as-a-Service provider (MaaS), announces successful execution of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Division, Crane (NSWC Crane) for joint data experimentation.

Under the CRADA agreement, Kleos will provide its radio frequency (RF) geolocation data in realistic test scenarios to improve maritime domain awareness for real-world challenges, including sanctions reporting, embargo, transshipment monitoring, search and rescue, resource management, fisheries control, smuggling, and border control.

Maxar Technologies Announces Launch of $500 Million Senior Secured Notes Offering

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (Maxar Technologies PR) –Maxar Technologies (NYSE:MAXR) (TSX:MAXR) (“Maxar” or the “Company”), a provider of comprehensive space solutions and secure, precise, geospatial intelligence, today announced the commencement of a private offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of its senior secured notes due 2027 (the “notes”). The notes will be senior, first-priority secured obligations of the Company initially guaranteed on a senior, first-priority secured basis by the Company’s subsidiaries that are guarantors under its existing syndicated credit facility. In connection with the issuance of the notes, the Company intends to amend and restate that certain credit agreement under its existing syndicated credit facility, among the Company, Royal Bank of Canada and the lenders from time to time party thereto (the “Amendment and Restatement”). The proposed offering is subject to market and other conditions.

NASA to Provide Live Coverage of Space Station Cargo Launch, Docking

HOUSTON (NASA PR) — NASA will provide live coverage of the launch and docking of a Russian cargo spacecraft carrying about three tons of food, fuel, and supplies for the Expedition 67 crew aboard the International Space Station.

The unpiloted Russian Progress 81 is scheduled to launch at 5:32 a.m. EDT (2:32 p.m. Baikonur time) Friday, June 3, on a Soyuz rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Coverage will begin at 5:15 a.m. on NASA Television, the NASA app, and the agency’s website.

NOAA’s JPSS-2 Mission Has New Launch Date

SILVER SPRING, Md. (NOAA PR) — NOAA and NASA are now targeting November 1, 2022 as the new launch date for NOAA’s Joint Polar Satellite System-2 (JPSS-2) mission. The launch was originally scheduled for September 30, 2022, however, the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite instrument, or VIIRS, experienced a test equipment anomaly during thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing.
