SpaceX Postpones Vandenberg Launch Until Monday

SpaceX has postponed a planned launch of a Falcon 9 rocket with 49 Starlink communications satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base until Monday morning due to the need complete pre-flight checks. The launch is scheduled at 8:34 a.m. PST (11:34 a.m. EST/16:34 UTC), with a backup launch opportunity later in the day at 12:30 p.m. PST (3:30 p.m. EST/20:31 UTC). SpaceX will webcast the launch.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (U.S. Space Force PR) – The U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command, the National Reconnaissance Office, and United Launch Alliance are preparing to launch a Delta IV Heavy rocket this weekend from Space Launch Complex (SLC)-6at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) in northern Santa Barbara County. Scheduled to lift off Sept. 24 at 2:53 p.m. PDT, this will be the final Delta IV Heavy to launch from the West Coast.

SpaceX Launches 46 Starlink Satellites from Vandenberg

On Sunday, July 10 at 6:39 p.m. PT, Falcon 9 launched 46 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. SpaceX has now launched 2,805 Starlink satellites, with 2,518 still operating, according to Jonathan’s Space Report. This Falcon 9 first stage booster previously launched Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART, and three Starlink missions.

CHANTILLY, Va. (NRO PR) — The National Reconnaissance Office successfully launched the NROL-85 mission aboard a reflown SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex-4E located at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) in California today at 6:13 a.m. Pacific Time. The Falcon 9 reusable rocket booster returned safely to Landing Zone 4 after delivering the national security payload to orbit.

SpaceX Launches 50 Starlink Satellites From Vandenberg

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. (SpaceX PR) — On Friday, February 25 at 9:12 a.m. PST, SpaceX launched 50 Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This was the fourth flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously supported Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART and one Starlink mission.

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. (NASA PR) — Just two days after leaving the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, Maryland, in a specialized container carefully strapped to the deck of a semi-trailer truck, NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spacecraft arrived in California — its final stop here on Earth. 

The truck, spacecraft and a small motorcade of APL engineers and technicians pulled into Vandenberg Space Force Base near Lompoc, California, on Saturday, Oct. 2, in the early afternoon local time.
