The issue was low pressure in the methane header (landing) tank. The engines ended up oxygen rich, digesting themselves (green plume). Low thrust caused it to come in hot.
OTOH; staggered engine shutdowns on ascent, divert to over the Gulf, rotation to horizontal, Adama Maneuver + coast back to shore, and rotation back to vertical went like clockwork – ending up dead-center on the pad.
