Philippines Moves Forward on Creating National Space Agency
The Philippine is moving to establish a space agency to become a space-capable and space-faring nation within a decade.
Earlier this month, the House of Representatives voted overwhelming to approve the Philippine Space Development Act. The Senate is considering a similar measure.
Under the measure, Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) would oversee the nation’s space activities. The new agency would be attached to the Department of Science and Technology.
The bill contains provisions for a Philippine Space Development and Utilization Policy (PSDUP) that serve as a strategic roadmap for the nation’s space program.

“Unfortunately, like Australia, they were one of the original singers of the Moon Agreement …” – Let’s see, Thomas, if they can “carry a tune” better than we can here in Oz. 🙂 Regards, Paul.
Thanks, I corrected the typo.
Being a large Pacific archipelago, the Philippines certainly has no lack of suitable places to site one or more spaceports. I wish them well in their space-related endeavors.
