is that a bad thing?
Anyone know how close these guys are to being able to send out a multi-craft/multi-destination survey mission like that?
I’m guessing not very, but i don’t know —i haven’t at all been keeping up with Planetary Resources news. I remember there was work being done on sending up a small survey telescope to Earth orbit?
Never told us what happened to the first one…Arkyd 3. Second one…Arkyd 6…is ready to launch on an Indian rocket.

The hype they produced when they launched the company and wiith multiple billionaires on board and talk of their low cost 2 million dollar sats .. I would have thought by now there would be at least a few already working in LEO.
Yeah, they have been floundering, for sure. And their head honcho is an ex NASA guy…not a dotcom cowboy. And NASA looks like it’s asleep at the wheel compared to some of these over-caffeinated startups. But deep pockets and patience may win the race for them down the road. I’ve got fingers crossed for this next attempt.
Here’s something new to make you happy.

No administrator…but a whole bunch of public-private partnerships percolating out there. I’m happy.
