Sir Richard Branson loves New Mexico. New Mexicans build him a Taj Mahal, and Virgin Galactic has turned into a white elephant. Branson has so far only managed to fire a primitive rocket for 20 seconds in the Earth’s atmosphere in a decade – SAD. https://napa.i.lithium.com/…
New Mexico will not be able to move on until Spaceshiptwo is retired to a museum. As long as there is even a slim hope that VG will show up they will cling to it and not make the hard decisions needed to save the spaceport economically.
Hicks is everything that’s wrong with American leadership cadres. It’s people like him who’ve led the American population away from any ability to weigh point, and counter point, to admit any fault, and to react to failure of your original plan. Zeezh, I wish I was there. What I find esp madding is his turning the question aimed at him turned into the question he wanted to answer not the one he was asked. We as Americans should pin people who do this against the wall and make they admit it, and then answer the question.
Hicks talks as if they’ll turn that place into a full functioning orbital space launch facility. It’s so unfortunate how nobody on that panel or in the audience know how much he’s speaking out of his arse. It’s a real shame nobody was there who could take him point for point about why NM will never be able to host the overwhelming majority of the list of future things SA ‘might’ do.
Here is what I saw when Mr. Daniel Hicks conjured up the future of Spaceport America on this KRWG video: https://i2.wp.com/www.theoc…
