ULA Lays off Employees
United Launch Alliance laid off 110 employees on Thursday, part of a larger reduction of 350 positions across the company. Officials said 240 other employees had accepted voluntary layoff packages.
The reductions are part of an effort to compete with rival SpaceX. The cuts represent more than 10 percent of the company’s roughly 3,000 employees.
The company is planning additional staff cuts in the future.
