Ukraine Space Agency Gets New Chairman
SSAU PR — Introduction of the new Chairman of the State Space Agency of Ukraine – Dr. Oleg S. Uruskyi has taken place on January 26, 2015 at the State Space Agency of Ukraine HQ.
The Vice Prime-Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine – Gennadiy Zubko read out loud the Resolution #26-r of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as of January 21, 2015 “On the appointment of Dr. Oleg Uruskyi the Chairman of SSAU”. In his speech the Vice Prime-Minister emphasized the important tasks facing the space industry and its leader.
Welcoming the new Chairman of SSAU with this appointment, Advisor to the President of Ukraine – Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies Mr. Volodymyr Gorbulin noted that in 1992-1996 Dr. Uruskyi was a member of the team, which created the Space Agency and started implementation of the first space missions of Ukraine.
While presenting his vision of the future as the Head of SSAU Dr. Uruskyi stressed that “Complex challenges are addressed to the Space Agency. However, I’m certain that we can manage them together”.
NOTE: Oleg S. Uruskyi was born on April 13, 1963 in Chortkiv, Ternopil region. In 1985 he graduated from Kyiv Military Aviation Engineering School. Doctor of Engineering Science, awarded with the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology.
