Earthrise_LogoOrlando, Fla. (ESF PR) – Earthrise Space Foundation (ESF) today announced Australian software company Altium as a gold level sponsor. Through a generous licensing agreement, estimated at $50,000, the foundation will now have access to the Altium Designer software package, providing a cutting edge electronics development tool for ESF students.

Altium specializes in PC-based electronics design software for engineers and is a global leader in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design software. Altium Designer is an electronic design automation software package. The unique tools that Altium provides are unmatched in the industry and will help build the next generation of electronic products. Altium is based in Australia with additional locations in the United States, China, Europe and Japan.

ESF is committed to the research and development of spacecraft and spacecraft systems in Central Florida and is the host of Team Omega Envoy, a group competing for the $30 million Google Lunar XPRIZE. This unprecedented competition is challenging privately funded teams to successfully land a spacecraft on the moon that travels at least 500 meters and transmits high-definition video and imagery back to earth.

ESF is focused on furthering science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education within the Central Florida community through internships with local students. These students get hands on experiential opportunities by contributing to projects on site and are able to apply these experiences in school or while pursuing jobs after graduation.
