NewSpace Business Plan Competition Announces 2014 Lightning Pitch Competitors

new_space_business_plan_competitionSilicon Valley, CA (SFF PR) — The NewSpace Business Plan Competition, in collaboration with its sponsors (The Space Frontier Foundation, ATK, and Heinlein Prize Trust) are excited to announce the competitors for this years’ unique program, the 2014 Lightning Pitch Competition. Competitors are listed below, in alphabetical order.

This years’ Lightning Pitch Competition is a novel format, somewhere between an “Elevator Pitch” Competition and a traditional Business Plan Competition. During the first day of the Space Frontier Foundation’s annual NewSpace Conference, each of the eight competitors will deliver a four minute presentation to an audience of space industry professionals, Silicon Valley investors and our Lightning Pitch judges.

Later that evening, at a special reception sponsored by the Heinlein Prize Trust, we will award $30,000 in cash prizes! ATK has generously sponsored these awards:

1st Place- $20,000
2nd Place- $7,500
3rd Place- $2,500

Thanks to ATK and the Heinlein Prize Trust and all of our other sponsors and contributors for their generous support of our ongoing efforts to assist and showcase new startups and expanding firms who can demonstrate both the ability to provide a return on investment and the capacity to contribute to opening the space frontier. To learn more about our efforts to open the frontier through the power of free enterprise, please visit the NewSpace Business Plan Competition website or Click Here to register to attend the NewSpace Conference.
