GLXP News: Barcelona Moon Team Adds INTA

BMT PR — Barcelona Moon Team is proud to announce the incorporation of the National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA) to the team on its way to the moon.

INTA is the Public Research Organization specialized in aerospace research and technology development. Among its main functions it is worth mentioning the adquisition, maintenance and continuous improvement of all those technologies that can be applied to the aerospace field; performing all types of tests to check, approve and certify materials, components equipment items, subsystems and systems that have an aerospace application; to provide technical assessment and services to official bodies and agencies, and also to industrial or technological companies; and to act as a technological centre d for the Ministry of Defence.

INTA will provide the team with electronic equipment to the lunar lander and the rover (including the power subsystem, the onboard computer, attitude control and navigation sensors, communications with the rover, etc), and the support during the operational phase through the satelite control center of the institute, with the participation of the stations of Maspalomas and Robledo de Chavela.
