Just Another Day in Mojave….

It’s been a busy morning here at the Mojave Air & Space Port. SpaceShipTwo made another successful glide test this morning. Did not get a chance to see it, but I’m told it was about an 11 minute flight that apparently went well and landed safely.

About three hours later, Masten Space Systems conducted an engine test of approximately 50 seconds. I had just finished interviewing Stuart Witt, who is the general manager of the facility here. He went to his computer and checked on things and said, Masten’s about to do a test. And then we heard the loud roar and saw a large cloud of dirt rise up over the desert beyond the runway.

All this, before it was even 10 o’clock in the morning. Definitely a cool place to visit….

You should interview Bob Rice. He’s the one who runs the airport.
