See Obama run. All the way up the steps into Air Force One (starting at 01:05) to get to a commencement address. Before this: giving Paul Ryan a piece of his mind. Ripping Donald Trump’s face off. And most recently, taking out bin Laden. In the first half of the first term of this supposedly “socialist” president, NASA has done more for NewSpace than in the previous two terms of “pro-market” GW Bush. If Obama’s smart, he’ll visit SpaceX, Blue Origin and other upstarts somewhere along the campaign trail stretching ahead of him. I think if he gets a second term, we’ve got a good chance at an American space program that makes sense. I used to wonder if I’d ever see that. Now, I have something I’m not embarrassed to call hope.
