International Asteroid Symposium Set for April

International Symposium on Asteroid Mitigation and Exploration
Texas A&M University — College Station
April 4-6, 2011

The International Symposium on Asteroid Mitigation and Exploration, to be held in College Station, Texas, will bring together an international community of researchers and practitioners to discuss new research results, mitigation and exploration strategies, international collaboration, and public awareness. In additional to presentations from attendees, a round table will be held to discuss future international cooperation, public awareness, and public policy statements.

Dr. Simon “Pete” Worden, Director of NASA-Ames Research Center, and Bruce Betts, Director of Projects for The Planetary Society, will likely be giving keynote speeches at the symposium. Furthermore, a distinguished individual from our international collaboration may also present the current status and importance of this area. Stay tuned for updates.

Submission Policy:
All papers must be submitted in English and are limited to 15 pages. Papers will be due the day of the presentation.

Update: $5000 prize money for top presentations offered!
