Pacific sunset - Sept. 26, 2009

Took a break from blogging this afternoon to explore the cliffs and coves along the coast between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay. This photo was taken from a cliff overlooking the ocean just south of Davenport.

I’ve always wondered what a yellow dwarf star would look like, close up …. but your cheesy 3D computer graphic rendering doesn’t fool me! What did you use? POVray, I bet. Hah. “Sunset” … yeah, right.

A Canon PowerShot, actually. I was standing near a pumpkin patch on a farm overlooking the ocean.

Well, this, and your next set of photos, is driving me crazy, because I won’t be back in California for another couple of weeks, and then only for about 10 days. And it seems like I never get enough of the coast on these trips.
