Teachers to Ride Zero G Plane for Science

Teachers to Ride ‘Vomit Comet’ in the Name of Science
The Monitor

Rodriguez Elementary School will be one of 12 schools in the nation to participate in a NASA gravity experiment next week at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The student-designed experiment will allow four Rodriguez Elementary schoolteachers to fly on the “vomit comet”: a Boeing 727 jetliner, provided by the Zero-Gravity Corporation, that simulates zero gravity.

The experiment will test how different materials behave at different gravity levels.

The teachers will arrive at the Johnson Space Center on Thursday and will stay for a week and a half for the gravity experiment and to tour the NASA facilities.
