Sino-American Space Relations to Turn a New Page?

Peter J. Brown has written an excellent analysis of the U.S.-China space relationship as the Obama Administration prepares to take office. It deals with what seems to be a new approach to Sino-American relations, issues with U.S. ITAR restrictions on exports, and military matters. Brown is a satellite technology writer from Maine who writes about the Chinese space effort for Hong Kong-based Asia Times Online.

It’s nuanced and subtle, so I’m a bit leery of excerpting it. Probably take something out of context. This is a piece that’s best read all the way through.
