Be wary of what you wish for….
That is the theme of a new space tourism movie titled Final Orbit that is being developed by Platinum Studios and Valhalla Motion Pictures. Variety reports the film is based on a comic book of the same name.
“‘Final Orbit,’ which will be published by Platinum Studios Comics early next year, tells the story of a lottery that gives thrill-seekers a chance to vacation aboard a newly completed International Space Station. But the trips turns nightmarish after the station is damaged, trapping tourists in a crippled module with no trained astronauts to help them.”
The screenplay will be authored by Russell Gewirtz, who penned the Spike Lee-directed, Clive Owen-Denzel Washington bank robbery thriller, Inside Man. He also wrote the upcoming Robert DeNiro-Al Pacino film, Righteous Kill.
