NASA Selects Intuitive Machines for New Lunar Science Delivery

HOUSTON (NASA PR) — NASA has awarded Intuitive Machines of Houston a contract to deliver research, including science investigations and a technology demonstration, to the Moon in 2024. The commercial delivery is part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative and the Artemis program.

A New NASA Space Telescope, SPHEREx, Is Moving Ahead

PASADENA, Calif. (NASA PR) — NASA’s upcoming space telescope, the Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization and Ices Explorer, or SPHEREx, is one step closer to launch. The mission has officially entered Phase C, in NASA lingo. That means the agency has approved preliminary design plans for the observatory, and work can begin on creating a final, detailed design, as well as on building the hardware and software.

Russia to Launch Four Korea CubeSats in 2021

MOSCOW (Roscosmos PR) — Four Korean Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) 6U Cubesats will be launched on Soyuz-2.1a as part of the rideshare mission scheduled for the Q1-Q2, 2021 in two 12U deployers from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

A new and very challenging space mission was initiated by KASI since 2017. KASI designed the innovative concept of multi-satellites mission, named as the Small scale magNetospheric and Ionospheric Plasma Experiments (SNIPE).
