SpaceX to Launch Communications Satellite Monday Evening

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is set to launch two communications satellites this evening from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

The Boeing-built JCSAT 18/Kacific 1 communications satellite will provide broadband and mobile services to the Asia-Pacific region. The spacecraft is jointly owned by SKY Perfect JSAT Corp. of Japan and Kacific Broadband Satellites of Singapore.

The launch window extends from 7:10-8:38 p.m. EST (0010-0138 GMT on Tuesday). SpaceX will webcast the launch at beginning 15 minutes prior to liftoff.
