Space Miles, through their sub-brand The Space Shuffle® are soon to launch continuous online competitions to win sub-orbital space flights.
The format of The Space Shuffle online competition will be to answer three questions and the winner will be the first correct entry chosen at random when the trigger point of 45,000 entries has been reached.
Competitions will start when sub-orbital flights are generally available to the public. Tickets will be $10 but pre-registrants will get 20% discount on their first five entries.
Consumer space tourism is getting ever closer. The big players, Jeff Bezos (of Amazon) through his Blue Origin and Richard Branson of Virgin Galactic are talking of flights late 2018 / early 2019.
Although Blue Origin are yet to offer tickets or prices, the price of each sub-orbital flight is thought to be around $250k. Virgin Galactic already have deposits from upwards of 600 space tourists.
Space Miles will ultimately be launching the Space Miles credit card and reward program, filling the gap between the super-rich and the rest of us excited by this new frontier.
Space Miles and The Space Shuffle will ensure the ongoing success of space tourism.
