Elon Musk tweeted out the following statement concerning his involvement with the Trump Administration and the temporary ban placed on travelers from seven nations.
Musk has been getting pounded on Twitter for his dealings with the new government.
Meanwhile, a bit of a parlor game is going on in the press about who leaked word to the Wall Street Journal about cracks in Falcon 9 turbo pumps. The speculation focuses on anti-commercial space elements within the Trump landing team at NASA.
Well, maybe. But, the far more interesting question is who leaked confidential information about SpaceX’s revenues, losses and launch projections to the Journal last month. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong here, but it seems unlikely the company would have shared such information with NASA.
So, the financial information probably came from a source close to SpaceX. That could well be true for the story about the turbo pumps.
It’s no secret that Musk’s sharp elbow approach to doing business does not sit well with everyone. A number of former employees have sued SpaceX after leaving the company. The leaks may well be blow back from Musk’s way of operating.
