US Air Force Releases Hosted Payload Solutions RFP

USAFThe Air Force has released its final request for proposal for hosted payloads:

The Developmental Planning Directorate (SMC/XR), Air Force Space Command, invites all prospective contractors to review the Request for Proposal (RFP) and submit a proposal for the Hosted Payload Solutions (HoPS) contract. The HoPS contract will provide SMC and other Government organizations with a capability for hosting Government payloads on commercial spacecraft to meet mission objectives. SMC/XR is anticipating the award of a multiple award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract that facilitates matching of Government payloads currently in development with commercial satellites using commercial timelines. The HoPS contract will procure a fully functioning on-orbit hosted payload system and integrated ground system equipment and interfaces that deliver payload data to the Government enduser(s).

Period of Performance. The anticipated date of award is 02 June 2014. The Ordering Period of Performance (PoP) is five years with subsequent delivery orders (DO) not to exceed ten years. The type of contract is Firm Fixed Price (FFP) for the basic contract and all DOs.

Proposals are due by 16 SEPT 2013 by 4 PM PST.
