Revitalize Mojave Community Meeting Set for Thursday

I received this notice from the Revitalize Mojave group:

Calling all Mojave residents and those interested in the future of Mojave!!

This Thursday, the Mojave Revitalization program will be holding a meeting for the entire community.  If you are interested finding out more about the direction this program is going, please join us at the Veteran’s Building at 5:30pm – all are welcome to attend!

Mojave Community Meeting – Bring a Neighbor!
Thursday, July 19th @ 5:30 pm
Mojave Veteran’s Building – 15580 O Street

Each of the three Mojave Revitalize committees (Design, Economic Restructuring & Promotions) will provide progress reports on their accomplishments to date.

Also, Lorelei Oviatt, from Kern County Planning Department will share insight into the upcoming August “Visioning” Event, to which the entire Mojave community is invited. The visioning process is a means of collecting community input on how residents and businesses hope to see their town in the future. Contracted consultants will query participants on everything from aesthetics to amenities, then transform our input into a plan, which is refined and prioritized at a second community gathering.

Our goal is to obtain a significant grant from the Kern Council of Governments, similar to that which Rosamond received last year!
